Aim: Helping ambulance staff members start their shifts on a full stomach
At Hearts & Hands we’re committed to making a difference in our community. After successfully setting up food banks at Stoke and Stafford hospitals, we're now turning our attention to our local ambulance service.
Each week we provide these hospitals with crates of food to support staff members struggling with the cost of living. Now, we've learned that ambulance staff in our town are starting their shifts on an empty stomach and can't always bring a packed lunch. To help, we're launching a 'Breakfast Scheme' to provide essential items like cereal, UHT milk, bread, marmalade and jam. We’ll also will supply surplus fresh food through Fareshare which incurs a cost.
