I am a 40 year old man recently diagnosed with FSHD, a rare muscular dystophy with currently no cures or approved treatments.
FSHD has varying degrees of severity and affects muscles of the face, legs, chest and shoulders.
While no verified treatment is available and currently no cure, many trials have taken place with varying degrees of success.
One trial in particular has focused on the use of testosterone and HgH to promote lean tissue growth and muscle function improvement, early signs are showing this holds much promise in limiting the impact of the disease and providing significant improvement in symptoms.
This offers the potential to give those suffering a new lease of life.
As a father of two young boys I know what any sort of improvement in symptoms can do for a sufferer and their family.
The aim of this fundraiser is to raise enough funds to provide treatment to 20 people using recommended dose of HgH and testosterone, at a cost of around £500 per month per participant.
We would also be looking at providing support in monthly bloodwork totalling around £1000 per month per participant.
This gives us a desired total of £360,000 to raise so we can help those affected.
Many muscular issues can be resolved using expensive medicines which in a cost of living crisis becomes unaffordable to most.
We hope you can help with any donation or contribution so we can start helping people and change lives for the better.
