Frugal Foundation is building on community work in Greenwich, our project is running series of Caring Saturdays charitable activities to enable communities to come together and engage with and support local elderly/young/homeless/vulnerable people during this Covid-19 pandemic 2020. We have created a platform to support those in a state of loneliness, isolation, Job loss etc

We are running a series of Caring Saturdays event at Care Homes in Greenwich to enable us provide the elderly community with music entertainment to counter social isolation and loneliness.
We’ll do this through monthly “Caring Saturday” events enabling communities to come together, engage with, and support these vulnerable groups. They will be offered music entertainment, storytelling and opportunities to share personal stories.
At each event we’ll support their mental well-being, encourage social connections and friendships, help them identify and develop their strengths and abilities. We’ll also foster mutual aid; in that we’ll create the circumstances for community members to go on to help elderly people.
Expected project outcomes are (a) opportunities for elderly people to meet in a friendly environment and be entertainment with music (b) all community members feeling empowered, with improved wellbeing, feeling of self-worth.
