After being made redundant from my role in Children's Centres, I decided it was time to take the plunge and go it alone. In my job role I taught Baby Massage, The Childs Journey, Babies into Books plus many more. I did this for over 8 years and not only enjoyed it but met the most adorable babies/children and parents along the way. On April 1st 1996 I gave birth to my son who is now a 26 year old man and when he was a child we used to go on treasure hunts, long walks, trips to the 'beach' which was actually a strip of sand at a nearby reservoir, but he didn't know that and just spending the time together was enough! I enjoy my role as a mum and the fun never ends, no matter how big they get he will always be my Little April Fool. I am telling you this because quality time spent with your child is so important and I want to provide a service which lets you do just that. I have a very laid back approach in what I do and I am passionate about my work and will endeavour to make all that I do exciting and interesting for your child.

Due to the war in the Ukraine, many families have found themselves in a desperate situation, having fled their own country in order to keep themselves safe. This got me trying to find a way I could help and I thought that they will no doubt be feeling scared and isolated, so how about an activity/group for families with small children and babies. These parents will, I would imagine, really struggle to leave the house and with the lack of adult conversation/support won't be aware of what is available in the community and I would like like to be able to enable those vulnerable families in the local area to access a group that will bring together people from similar cultures and backgrounds. 

My idea is to have a group in a local yoga studio, for parents to come along and have a cuppa whilst the children play. It's a very welcoming relaxed environment which I am sure will be a huge positive for these poor families that are experiencing the unimaginable. Moving forward my aim is to invite services along who can offer support and information....a One Stop Shop if you like.

I would like to raise enough money to cover refreshments, room hire and staffing costs, resources and marketing.
