The Friends of Greville Smyth (FroGS) Park have delivered lots of benefits for the local community over a number of years. We've managed to secure funding for some of the larger projects within the park and have also received help for some of our smaller projects too.
To keep delivering these projects, we need ongoing funding and support from volunteers too!
Here's what we're currently raising funding for:
Lavender beds (£300) - We'll be planting up lavender beds near to the Ashton Road /Frayne Road entrance to help attract insects and improve the attractiveness of this entrance.
Wildflower meadow (£200) - Having had lots of success in other areas of the park, we'll be seeding a large area along the Ashton Road side of the park.
Sensory Garden (TBC) - We're planning to turn the secluded area behind the tennis courts into a sensory garden.
