Friends of Symondsbury School

We are the Parent-Teacher Association, dedicated to raising essential funds for enriching activities for our children. We are committed to creating an outstanding school experience for all students.

Our team organises a variety of exciting seasonal events for children, families, and occasionally the public. Highlights include:

• Pre-loved Uniform Sales: Offering affordable uniform options.
• Pumpkin Trail: A festive and fun autumn activity searching for pumpkins around Colmers Hill.
• Wreath Making Workshops: A wonderful seasonal event held at Symondsbury Tithe Barn, open to the public, a chance to get creative for the holiday season.
• Winter Wonderland (School Christmas Fair) & Raffle: A magical event filled with holiday joy for all our Symondsbruy families.
• Christmas Party for Kids: Celebrating the festive season with fun activities.
• Christmas Production: Providing refreshments.
• School Disco: A fun event for children to dance and enjoy.
• Easter Egg Hunt & Raffle: A springtime favourite for families, help the Easter Bunny find his lost carrots on Colmers Hill. 
• Symfest & Raffle: Our annual summer festival with entertainment and prizes.
• Summer Production: A year-end performance where we support by selling refreshments.

Additionally, we provide refreshments at school events, run cake sales, and host many other enjoyable activities to support our fundraising efforts.

Each year, we allocate approximately £8,000 to support essential needs for every class. Our fundraising initiatives provide classroom supplies, musical instruments, books, special workshops, and unique learning experiences. These include visits from Aardman Studios, the popular Now Press Play virtual learning sessions, and educational coach trips that extend learning beyond the classroom.
