Coalville Park is set to transform through four distinct projects, each designed to enrich the community and enhance the park's natural beauty, increase access and enjoyment for all of the community. These projects will be implemented in stages, ensuring a thoughtful and sustainable development process.
1st Project: The Sensory Garden
The Sensory Garden will be a haven for both disabled and able-bodied children, offering a rich sensory experience that engages and stimulates the senses. Imagine the gentle rustling of leaves, the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, and the soft textures of various plants as children explore this magical space with stimulating sound and movement equipment. The garden will be alive with colour, from vibrant reds and yellows to soothing greens and blues, providing a visual feast that captivates and inspires. This space will invigorate the mind and encourage an appreciation for nature, offering a peaceful respite from life's stresses. Children and adults alike will find joy and tranquillity as they connect with the natural world. Utilizing, physically stimulating equipment, sound equipment, plants for colour and scent incorporating the general landscape. All equipment will meet rigorous public standards, ensuring safety and longevity for countless future visitors
2nd Project: Seasonal Blooms
The second project involves transforming the park's wild seed beds into a stunning display of perennials and bulbs that bloom throughout the year. This “Park for All Seasons” will provide a dynamic backdrop for mental health and well-being, where visitors can experience the cycle of nature's beauty. 3rd Project: Equipment Upgrade
We will replace outdated equipment with new, innovative pieces designed for durability and inclusivity. All equipment will meet rigorous public standards, ensuring safety and longevity for countless future visitors.
4th Project: Park Extension
The park extension will enhance Coalville Park's accessibility and appeal. With the foundational path already donated, we aim to complete it with a top layer that welcomes visitors year-round. The addition of conversation benches, crafted in reinforced steel and painted a cheerful yellow, will invite dialogue and relaxation. These benches will feature comfortable backrests, providing a welcoming spot for reflection and connection. Surrounding these spaces, we will plant a variety of fruit trees, perennials, and bulbs, creating an orchard of abundance and beauty.
