Ashburton Primary Need a New Playground!

*Project Aim

Ashburton Primary School has asked the PTA to generate much-needed funds to refurbish the School's play area, providing a safe and stimulating environment for the 200 pupils of our school here in Devon, UK. The equipment has reached the end of it's life and is now beyond economical repair. Without the funds being secured and a new playground installed, the play equipment will be out of bounds for children returning in September 2025.

* What we need to do

We need to replace all of the play equipment and resurface the area to provide our children with a safe space that inspires them, encouraging them to be physical, positively impacting on their health and mental wellbeing. 

Our first fundraising target is £15,000, this will enable us to get the project underway. It will enable us to resurface the play area, making it a safer environment for all to use; purchase new playground equipment that supports gross motor skills and when installed, encourage physical activity and being outdoors. We would also love to refresh the markings and paintings on the tarmac which have faded away over time.

Please donate whatever you can - and know you are bringing us a step closer to brand new playground equipment, for more than two hundred children at Ashburton Primary School, as well as for hundreds more pupils in the future.

This project is the largest undertaking of the PTA, and one that we know will benefit the children and their families, for years to come.

Who are we?

We are Ashburton School's PTFA (Parents, Teachers, Friends Association). We are a registered charity (No. 284245) which raises funds to supplement the learning resources for pupils at Ashburton Primary School here in Devon, UK.  All parents and carers are automatically members of our PTFA whilst their children attend Ashburton Primary School. The PTFA is actively raising funds through the voluntary efforts of parents, carers, teaching staff and friends in the form of community events for our school play area.
