Imaged the size of the Continental united states full of trees........
What would you say If I said by the year 2050 all those trees (eqiverlant) will be cut down.
How about more closer to home......What would you say if by 2050, we can see the extinction of the hazel door mouse & Red squirrel.
ALL TRUE
Its clear that change needs to happen to ensure the future for generations to come.
Hi, Im Paul. For a long time now I have been trying to go out on my own but also make an impact on the world. In 2018 I started working for a company called infarm, its mission to plant grown & harvest salad items on your door step and reducing our carbon footprint. At the same time we where also looking how we and reduce further .. using cleaner electricity, using less water hence making a bigger impact.
This got me thinking about how I can go out on my own and actually do something that will have a lasting impression.
Welcome to:
Fresh Start
Our mission to is educate & engage people to plant the right sort of plants for their area. We hope to achieve this is 3 steps over a 5 year pilot programme and to raise £310,000.
1 - Using social media to engage the public the benefits of the right plant for the right environment but also the health benefits it has as well. Unfortunately the time for setting up a company to plant tress for our survival has passed, Lost of companies have started but never lasted passed 5 years. We need to shift our focus to a group that can compete against any time of new company or charity and that is you the public.
If everyone in the world was to plant just 4 trees each, in as little as 10 years... We would have created enough trees plants to soak up out Co2 production and provide fresher more cleaner air. Thats 10 years... Thats 2035
2 - Educating the next generation and going in to our schools and giving them the chance to grown their own plants. Our environment is just as important as learning Maths / English etc. We need to encourage our next generation so they can continue forwarding this on to the following generation.
3 - Going in to our communities, planting trees in our community areas improving the area for residents and visitors to enjoy all year round. Getting them out of their homes and in to the sun without being boiled alive in the sun. There has been a study thats hows the shade of a tree can be up to 10oC cooler than in direct sunlight.
We need change and it will take everyone to make it happen.
Why should you? Ill be long gone by then? I have no children etc?
Simple answers is we actually care. When you move homes, some people clean before handing the keys in. If your never coming back, why clean?
When you leave a hotel room, you leave it in a reasonable condition. Why if you leaving. Most people will do this and its just who we are so why is planting a tree etc any different.
Thank you
