On November 26th and 27th we have a theatre company called Odd Socks coming to Hednesford. This will take place at Kingsmead school hall where they will put on four shows of Snow White.
Our charity, Fireworks, have booked this to go ahead as a free community event. The idea is that we do not charge for the shows, but we use the event to bring the community together having been through an incredibly tough couple few years and particularly now with the cost of living rising. It will be open to families in Hednesford, Heath Hayes, Pye Green, Rawnsley and Wimblebury. We may be able to open it up to surrounding areas depending on the take up.
We put on a pantomime for the community last year and despite snow and having to find a new venue, the show was a success. We had amazing feedback from the people who came and we were supported by town counsellors and the Mayor too.
We want to do this again for the community because it benefitted so many families last year. People laughed a lot! Our work as a charity is all about well-being. People are able to come together with friends and family at no cost and just have fun, this is really important for the well-being of all.
Please support us this year. We are putting on more shows that last year because the event was so popular.
