Why are we crowdfunding?
We are looking at crowdfunding to help us raise enough money so we can to cover the hall cost so we can offer FREE sessions for all under 18s. Karate is all self funded by the student and their family and can get very expensive so if we can help cut a bit of the cost then we could help out lots of families and get more kids interested in learning a new sports and to keep healthy.
How we’ll spend the money raised
All money raised will be paid out to cover the cost of our hall hires for the next 2 years and then we will look at doing a few fundraisers during the year to raise funds to keep the free session going we will also be contacting local business to see if any would like to help out.
Community impact
We are base in 2 separate buildings in the middle of 2 housing estates with lots of family's and the aim is to offer more activities to do to keep kids out of trouble hanging around the streets so if we can offer FREE sessions to under 18s this could have a massive impact on any antisocial behaviour, we also offer family classes so the whole family can come and train together
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
