Hello , my name is Drew and thank you for taking the time to read this.

During lockdown I started making my own sauces and marinades from scratch, I found it extremely therapeutic and relaxing, I’ve always had a great love for food and different flavours from different cultures all over the world, I’ve always been a good cook but I thought I’d take it up a gear and do something I’d never done before, after a few weeks I’d made a few really nice sauces and marinades and started giving them to family and friends, who said they were lovely. I also used them at many family bbqs and gatherings with friends and everyone has said the same thing “you really need to do something with this, you should sell your food” so it got me thinking I should really do something with it, I’ve hosted quite a few small events now for friends and family and trialled my food out and it’s always been a success. I’m a plumber by trade so this is something completely different and so many people have said it’s a huge risk trying to go into the food industry but I believe I have something unique and I love a challenge and if someone tells me it can’t be done, il do everything to prove otherwise. I believe I can grow this into a successful business and one day I would love to own a restaurant. Freddies Flavours was a name I came up with as it rolls off the tongue easily and it’s my first sons name - now one of three with my wife. I want to build a successful business for my children to benefit from in the future and give them a life I dreamt of as a child and I believe with my passion and dedication that I can make this happen.

I wanted to be a chef as a child and always had a real passion for good food and flavours and have always loved cooking for my family. I have also suffered with mental health over the years and have found that cooking is something that helps me. I am now a year sober now and have really turned my life round over the last year trying to make myself the best version of me on a daily basis, I’ve never felt so positive and I'm now ready to take on my biggest adventure yet, we would love to serve homeless and those less fortunate once a year at least especially around Christmas time.

I have tried many things in my life in terms of business and had fun and enjoyed the excitement of it, however I’ve never felt quite the same as I do with this, I feel this really is what I’m meant to do and I know I can make a success of it, I’ve worked since I was 13 years old and feel now is the right time, I’ve explored other avenues and even applied for the tv show the apprentice 3 times and got through to the last batch of people but unfortunately didn’t get through.

I’d like to travel the uk serving the people with the best quality of food cooked in some great flavours, all food is homemade and all ingredients fresh, grilled chicken, lamb, beef pork and so on is what will be served mainly with vegetarian and vegan options too.

The money would be used very carefully, firstly to purchase a suitable vehicle that would effectively be a mobile restaurant, it would be kitted out exactly how I want and need it to be, it will be eye catching and branded with company colours and logos, I would need a refrigerated trailer too for food storage for large events. I would advertise on social media and invest in marketing campaigns to push the business further, I would employ a staff member to help out with the serving and ad hoc duties required to maintain a swift service at all times with a guaranteed smile.
