FOUNDATION FOR GOOD

We are Foundation For Good, a charity based in the Consett community, once a thriving industrial area famous for its steel works. Unfortunately, over time, mental health has took its toll and services for mental health in the area have diminished, and the community has been overlooked, leading to a suicide rate 37.5% higher than the national average. However, we are here to bring about positive change.

At Foundation For Good, we strive to bring communities in Consett and the surrounding areas together. We have a range of initiatives in place to improve the physical, mental, and social wellbeing of people within the community, including food banks, boxing, mental health services, and alternative education provisions for young people experiencing difficulties in life.

Our services for young people include youth empowerment pathways and transitional pathways, where we focus on neurodevelopment and helping people make positive changes in their lives, moving towards a successful future.

However, we need your help to continue making a positive impact in the community. We are currently seeking funding to purchase a minibus for our charity. With a minibus, we can extend our reach and provide transportation for people who need access to our services but struggle to get there. A minibus will allow us to help more people in need and create a stronger, more connected community.
