"No Water, No Life, No Blue, No Green."

—Dr. Sylvia Earle, Marine Biologist

Water, one of the most precious and essential natural resources, is tasteless, odourless (to humans), and transparent when unadulterated and at room temperature. It sustains life, reshapes topography, provides passage and conveyance, and delineates and destroys geopolitical boundaries.

Approximately 71% of Earth's surface is comprised of water, with the United States Geological Survey estimating that Earth is covered by more than 332,500,000 cubic miles (mi3) of water.

Archaeology, history, and anthropology provide evidence that most civilizations originated near water sources.

"Seas cover around 70% of the world’s surface, providing raw materials, energy, food, employment, a place to live, a place to relax and the means to transport more than 80% of global trade by volume. Shipping is a key user of the oceans, delivering essential goods and commodities, taking ferry passengers to their destinations and carrying millions of tourists on cruises."

—International Maritime Organization, "IMO and its role in protecting the world's oceans"

“Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.”

—W. H. Auden, “First Things First”

Our Vision

We reach out to you with an opportunity that promises to address the plight of our world and those who dwell upon it. This effort aims to draw much needed attention to the vital importance of the world’s oceans and natural ecosystems.

These ecosystems are crucial not only for the continued survival of the diverse species that call them home but also for human life itself.

With only six years left to meet global biodiversity goals, it is vital to translate ambition into action.

The nature-positive movement has begun to deliver comprehensive frameworks and technologies to assess companies’ impacts.

Our mission is to contribute towards bringing the transformation of the global economy within reach.

Our Mission Objectives

With the formation of a private non-governmental, non-political, and non-profit foundation for strategic ocean initiatives, the aim is to spearhead partnerships and produce opportunities and grants for the direct funding of “blue economy” projects, think-tanks, initiatives, research and outreach efforts across the globe.

We endeavour to insistently conduct programmes and engage with senior-level experts from industries and companies of all sizes, and from a wide range of sectors, as well as academics and scientists from leading organizations and reputable institutions.

Furthermore, we will proceed with outreach efforts to welcome the involvement of renowned brands, affluent personalities and influential individuals who aspire to seize the opportunity of inevitable importance.

This will activate breakthrough protocols to impact industry.

These protocols will involve funding research and aligning our initiatives into the development of much-needed blue indicators and metrics for measuring impacts and dependencies from human activities on nature.

Ocean asset metrics are parameters or measurements used to assess the health, productivity, and sustainability of ocean resources.

Through a systematic data-driven process, our protocols will address the needs from future regulatory frameworks and ESG standards geared towards various sectors.

How you will help?

We require your generous donations to fund the development of our immersive and compelling visual identity in time for COP16 between 21 October and 1 November 2024.

Our distinct branding, web and mobile experience is an essential step towards raising mass awareness. It is an area that is usually overlooked. It requires much time and care. We want to offer an interactive 3D and AR experience to capture the fabric of our future cause.

This initial step towards reaching our milestones will help us to attract and bring together a forward-thinking community of stakeholders.

This community will agree that the remainder of this decade must catalyze action to protect one of our most valuable environmental resources.

Further to this, we must head-hunt a full-time experienced lead event planner and a seasoned sponsorship manager with a history in public relations.

Both individuals will display a genuine consideration for the protection and restoration of our oceans, and bring with them an immense amount of knowledge within their respective fields.

This boutique team will begin consolidating strong alliances across the globe, accelerate fundraising efforts, and make the vital arrangements for our inaugural gathering in 2025.

Inaugural Event 2025: To be announced

The foundation will build on this visual identity, and with a strong team at the forefront of vital progress, we will be better prepared to release information about our inaugural event.

The event is proposed to take place in Cannes, France in 2025, and will evoke acclaimed appreciation and significance rising to unconventional sophistication and meaningful excellence.

It will launch as a beacon of visionary ideas, philanthropy, and where unprecedented passions converge, not only for our mission objectives but also for becoming a platform of achievement.

We will recognise the unanimous donations and contributions made by you and others who push the boundaries, define the future, and tackle matters of biodiversity of the oceans honestly.
