For the first time in our history, the Green Party is hoping to give everyone the opportunity to vote for us with our message for real change on July 4th. Corby born Lee Forster has been successfully chosen to be our green voice for Corby & East Northants.

We have the policies to tackle the multiple crises that we are facing... but it costs money in elections to get these messages heard and grow our support. Lee Forster

Lee has lived his whole life in Corby and cares deeply about the town and residents alike. Coming from a large family and having two sons himself he is all too aware of the many issues and hardships affecting families in the current cost of living crisis.

It was his passion of working towards social & environmental justice that led Lee to play an integral part in an effective campaign to raise awareness of the air pollution and the health risks of the planned waste incinerators in Corby. This is something he continues to be committed to for the benefit of the local environment and its residents.

As resident DJ for the enterprising Fly By Bars, this summer you will find him at Street Food Fridays, West Glebe Park on the last Friday of each month where he is always keen to have a chat.

Greens do politics differently.

• We are a democratic party funded by our members. Uniquely for a Westminster party, our members get to shape and decide on our policies (a very good reason to join!).
• Unlike the other main parties, we are not funded by billionaires, unions or big business.
• Our elected politicians are never whipped to vote along party lines. They are free to prioritise local issues and free to speak up and advocate for innovative policies.

Some Key Policies 

Water Nationalisation: The Green Party is very clear, water should be bought into public ownership to be run for people and not profit.

Wealth Tax for the Super Rich: Unlike Labour or the Conservatives, the Green Party are willing to tax billionaires and multi-millionaires in order to invest in better services for you.

Proportional Representation: We want everybody's vote to count and to count equally... that's how democracy should be!

PS. We are required to run electoral register checks for people making donations above £500, and if you donate over £1,500 during a year, we are required to let the Electoral Commission know who will make this available on their website. All donations go to general campaigning funds.
