Fordley Primary 500 miles for £5000

Aim: We aim to raise £5000 to support with our development of our Early Years outdoor space and also subsidise school trips for all children.
Following Mrs Withers success in May, raising money for Cancer Research by walking 100 miles, our whole senior leadership decided to use this idea to raise money for school.
Why do we want to raise money?
School budgets countrywide are tight but we are committed to:
- raising money to develop our outdoor space shared by Fordley Flyers, Nursery and Reception into an amazing area to help our youngest children to develop their motor skills and learning even more.
- we also see the increasing cost for school trips and plan to use some of the money raised to reduce the costs for families so that no child misses out on amazing experiences.
How will we do this?
- Over the month of June our 6 senior leaders (Mrs Withers, Mrs Boyes, Mrs Miller, Mrs Nicholson, Mr Fawcett and Mrs Butler) will walk a total of, at least, 500 miles
- We will seek any sponsorship from our own families and friends, the school community, local businesses etc (any sponsorship will be very appreciated but there is no pressure to sponsor us)
- We will share photos on our school facebook page to show the total miles so far and also some of the places we have walked
- We will have a walk and talk club every lunchtime we can to promote with children the value of talking whilst getting some exercise
