Hi,
My name is Rhamsi Alkadi I am crowdfunding in an attempt to raise money to buy the publishing licensing to screen the documentary “5 Broken Cameras” as part of a community event to offer insight into Palestinian lives and the ongoing conflict there.
I would like to hold a screening of this documentary in Leeds in order to help raise money (Medical Aid for Palestine), educate, inform and create a space for conversation regarding the past and current horrific ongoings unfolding in Palestine, the WestBank and Gaza. I also hope to invite a hand full of Palestinian artist and creators to celebrate their skills and heritage. This will be followed by the screening of the documentary.
I myself am Palestinian and currently have family and friends within the WestBank and feel it is important for me to do my part within my own capabilities.
Any money will help towards this goal and would be very much appreciated! And if all goes to plan with this crowdfund, I hope to see you there!
