A plate for every guest

Aim: We will be feeding 480 children living in temporary living hotels, we would like to be able to provide food for the parents also.

During none term time holidays we are awarded funding to put on a number of events in some of the largest temporary living hotels in Birmingham.

During these periods we support the families with fun and educational activities focused on health and wellbeing, physical activity and generally trying to bring some joy to those going through a difficult time. We also provide food, a small part but a vital part to the sessions.

Many hotels are without adequate cooking facilities, meaning families are faced with the task of having to feed themselves on an already tight budget in unconventional ways.

HAF funding for these events means we are able to feed every child a hot nutritious meal whilst onsite however this does not cover the parents.

Our provision allows some much needed downtime for the parents, space and time for them to interact with each other and watch their children enjoying themselves.

We would really like to provide a meal for every parent whose child is participating. Can you help us?
