I think this is a great idea and well done. Can I add a suggestion that you try to involve some of the refugee ladies in the cooking for their own communities. Mary's Meals, a scottish charity giving children a breakfast in return for which they attend school , across many countries, does just that. Secondly, you mention the site is prone to flooding. I know nothing about the local geography, but if we could build appropriate bunds or channels to divert the water away from the camp area that would be a positive step. I'd lave to get involved if you could send me some plans/satellite images etc. (My background is in civil engineering, geology, and I've worked in Greece for 6 years plus in the past.)

A dreadful, dreadful situation. People must be absolutely desperate to flee their own country, leaving everything they've worked for behind (that's if anything is left...). And then they get into a situation like this, where they're herded into a camp like cattle, with no way out! This inhuman and has to stop!

Britain has become a mean and nasty place. We have so few refugees compared to other countries. Let’s be the kind strong country that we used to be.
