Food Bank @ Christ the King, Beaumont Leys

The food bank based at Christ the King, Beaumont Leys is the largest in Leicester and offers the widest range of foods. Unlike many food banks the support it offers is not limited by post code. 

We offer three sessions most weeks between 10am and 12noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Our small team of volunteers use other days of the week to source and collect food, to receive food deliveries and organise our storage.

Users are referred to us by many organisations that provide social support. Support can be one off or for a longer period depending on the user’s need. Food parcels are collected by the users. Sometimes the user’s support worker may collect the food and deliver it to them. 

At faith festivals we not only provide seasonal foods but also though our Gifts4Kids project provide presents for under 18s which their families who could not otherwise afford.
