Hi, I’m Sasha – one of the Engineering Graduates at British Airways, and I’m about to take the plunge (literally)!
On June 27th, 2025, I’ll be skydiving as part of a team raising funds for Flying Start and the BA Better World Community Fund.
Flying Start is the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief, and together, we’re working to give people in the UK and around the world the best possible start in life and a chance at a brighter future. Since our partnership began in 2010, British Airways customers and colleagues have raised over £30 million, an incredible amount that we’re immensely proud of. This funding has already had a huge impact, helping over 1.1 million people—from new parents in the UK to children in India facing health challenges, and mums in South Africa determined to prevent the transmission of HIV to their babies.
In the last three years alone, more than £2 million has been raised for early childhood development projects across the UK, India, South Africa, and Ghana. These programmes are helping provide crucial access to health services, education, and support for families and young children who need it most.
As part of this incredible effort, I’m aiming to raise a minimum of £350 to support these life-changing programmes. Every donation, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference in the lives of children and families around the world.
