We're still collecting donations
On the 19th November 2021 we'd raised £1,510 with 39 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We want to help any young woman (or non-binary) entering adulthood face the challenges of today with wellbeing support so she can flourish

On the 19th November 2021 we'd raised £1,510 with 39 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Our vision at Flourish Mentors is to offer support and help to ANY young woman (including non-binary) from the age of 16-25 years in the Brighton and Hove area.
This will be a free service to young women and we want anyone to use our service, regardless of her background, problems and level of need. All are welcome, problems big or small!
So many young people are facing mental health crises, especially in this lockdown era, and whilst there is often support for the most disadvantaged (which is great), there are a LOT of young women who fall between the cracks as their needs are too low for existing supports.
The Girlsguiding Girls' Attitude Survey (2020) reports:
"A third (33%) of girls and young women, aged 7-21, say they would like more help and support to find ways to enjoy themselves and relax. This need rises to 44% the older young women get (7-21 years)."
We have created a wellbeing support programme based on the 7 pillars of wellbeing, which you can read more about on our website: https://www.flourishmentors.com/
Flourish will assess each mentee along these seven pillars and offer her tailored services, according to her individual wellbeing needs:
We have successfully recruited a group of women who will volunteer their time and though they are not therapy experts, they have lots of skills and support to offer.
We seek a minimum of £5000 funding for outings including coffees and teas for the mentees and mentors, start-up costs and administration.
We are grateful for any support you give!
One-to-one mentoring and workshops focused on the 7 pillars of well-being, including:
We hope to help over 100 young women in the area in the next year.
Our team is comprised of a secondary school drama teacher, a child and adolescent therapist and a graphic artist who are committed to this mission!
Please help us achieve our dream to help young women aspire and flourish!
