A beloved Pub/Inn, in a beautiful village in Rutland, has been extensively damaged by flooding throughout. The wonderful couple running the pub are due to retire at the end of this year, having worked tirelessly to make the pub it is today.  They have welcomed, not only their fellow villagers (who use it all the time) but people from far and wide within the UK.  The pub has a wonderful reputation with an exceptionally warm welcome to all who visit.  The food is home cooked and of a very high standard and the 8 rooms available, for those who stay, are cosy and very inviting, with all amenities you would want.  The pub has had to close, due to the flooding and this has meant that all staff have had to be 'laid off' on a temporary basis and there is also a huge loss of revenue.  The flooding is not covered by insurance and the couple are having to pay for all the damage to the pub out of their own savings. This has vastly impacted on their retirement plans.  Please let us help them get back on their feet and remove the stress of their monetary loss.  You couldn't wish to help more deserving people.  How do I know all this? Well, it's because I have spent many years visiting and staying there and was planning on a long stay in March.  It was that booking phone call that led to discovery of the predicament the couple were in. This is a very genuine situation, which can easily be verified and I am asking for the public's assistance in helping two very hardworking people get their livelihood back so that people can continue to enjoy this beautiful pub.  A big 'Thank You' to all who are willing to help.
