When we talk about climate change, it truly hits home. Living in Nigeria, we’ve seen firsthand the environmental devastation and climate impact caused by the oil and gas industry—what many call our “black gold.” While oil has fueled economic growth, it has also left a heavy toll on our environment, particularly through gas flaring, one of the most wasteful and damaging practices in the energy sector.

Motivated to make a difference, I teamed up with a group of data engineers and energy expert Ron Verraneault to explore innovative ways to reduce emissions in Nigeria. Gas flaring quickly emerged as a key challenge, contributing heavily to environmental degradation and wasted economic potential. Together, we focused on developing scalable, sustainable solutions to tackle this issue.

The result is our Flare Mitigation System—a groundbreaking innovation that captures flared gas and converts it into clean energy to power blockchain and cloud computing infrastructure. This solution not only drastically reduces carbon emissions but also places Nigeria at the forefront of global sustainable technology innovation.

To bring this vision to life, the funds we raise will be strategically allocated as follows:

    1.    Infrastructure Development: Procuring and installing gas turbines and modular computing systems to capture and convert flared gas into usable energy.

    2.    Technology Deployment: Leveraging cutting-edge hardware and software from global partners like NVIDIA, Microsoft, and EZ Blockchain to ensure efficiency and scalability.

    3.    Operational Setup: Covering logistics, installation, and on-site integration in oil fields to guarantee seamless execution.

    4.    Environmental Impact Certification: Collaborating with carbon credit certification bodies to validate and monetize the emissions reductions, adding long-term value.

    5.    Scalability: Expanding the system to additional flare sites across Nigeria to amplify environmental and economic impact.
