We're still collecting donations
On the 14th November 2024 we'd raised £565 with 14 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We are fundraising to set up and run paediatric first aid courses in Frome.

On the 14th November 2024 we'd raised £565 with 14 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
If we reach our stretch target we will offer funded spaces to those that need it and look at running courses more regularly or potentially at other times/locations to reach more families.
Why are we Doing This?
We have listened to feedback from local parents and we know that there is a wish for affordable, friendly and supportive first aid courses for babies and small children. We would like to be able to offer this service to the local community but we need to fundraise for some essentials.
What we Need to Fundraise
Geraldine, a retired midwife, will be able to run the classes after completing a training course with the resuscitation council. This course will cost £75. We also need to purchase a resuscitation doll which will cost around £275. We would then like to be able to create a webpage and some flyers to advertise the courses. This takes our total goal to £500.
What are we Offering
The courses will be 1.5 hours and will run after Baby Connections on a Friday morning at the Key Centre. The cost for the course will be £25 per person or £40 per couple, if you would like another parent or caregiver to attend. There will be space for a maximum of 10 people on each course. The courses will cover chocking, resuscitation and what to do in the event of a head injury or other trauma. We want you to feel confident in case of an emergency and to take away a good basic knowledge of key first aid for babies.
