My Journey: From Addiction to Purpose—Help Me Build Find Your Way Fitness
Growing up, football was my life. I dreamed of going professional, dedicating every moment to the sport I loved. But at 20, my world shifted—I was diagnosed with type one diabetes. I struggled to cope, feeling like my dream had been ripped away.
For the next eight years, I numbed the pain. I became a functioning drug addict, holding my life together on the surface while slowly falling apart inside. The weight of addiction, depression, and anxiety became unbearable, and eventually, I reached my lowest point—I tried to take my own life.
In 2020, I made a choice: I chose life. I started with a personal trainer, just trying to regain control. But fitness became so much more. I found bodybuilding and, along the way, discovered the power of movement in all its forms. I got lean, I bulked, I pushed my limits.
At 23, I tore my right ACL playing football, and in 2024, I tore my left ACL during a Hyrox event. Despite these setbacks, I kept going. I’ve had multiple knee surgeries and still completed a half Ironman and a full Ironman—with no ACL.
Fitness gave me a purpose when nothing else could. It became my therapy, my structure, and my way forward. Traditional rehab didn’t work for me—but bodybuilding did. And beyond that, fitness had an incredible impact on my diabetes control, something I want to share with others struggling with the same condition.
Now, I want to give this gift back. That’s why I’m launching Find Your Way Fitness—a gym built for everyone. A place where people in recovery, people struggling with their mental or physical health, people struggling with food addiction or obesity and anyone searching for purpose can find their own way through fitness. No right or wrong way—just your way.
I need your help to bring this vision to life. Your donation will help create a gym that isn’t just about lifting weights, but about lifting people up. Together, we can make fitness a tool for healing.
Donate today and help me change lives—just like fitness changed mine.
