The Aim of FindMyPaws
In the UK alone, over 250,000 pets go missing every year — from beloved dogs and curious cats, to even larger animals like horses. That’s nearly 700 animals a day simply vanishing from homes, farms, and communities.
Despite the best efforts of owners and local rescues, only around 1 in 3 dogs and even fewer cats are ever reunited with their families. The rest may end up in shelters, rehomed, or tragically lost forever.
FindMyPaws is here to change that.
We’re building a smart, community-powered platform where anyone can upload a photo of a lost or found pet — whether it’s a dog, cat, horse, or any companion animal.
Our AI technology begins working immediately, scanning other listings, social media posts, resale ads, and more — helping connect the dots faster and more effectively than ever before.
💡 Why not just rely on microchips?
While microchipping is essential, it’s not enough on its own:
🧭 Chips can migrate inside the body and go undetected
📅 Contact info is often outdated or not registered
🏥 Microchips rely on the pet being found and scanned — which may never happen
🐾 But FindMyPaws goes further.
Because pets aren’t just animals — they’re family.
💙 For many people, they’re the only source of daily companionship, emotional support, and purpose.
🌱 For children, the elderly, and people with mental or physical health challenges, a pet can be a lifeline.
Losing a pet can be devastating — emotionally, mentally, and even financially.
Our mission is simple:
To reunite more missing pets with the people who love them.
To reduce shelter strain.
To prevent unnecessary rehoming.
To ensure no animal disappears without a trace.
We’ve built the idea. Now we need your help to build the platform.
Support FindMyPaws — and help bring them home. 🐾
