Aim: An innovative education program, designed by explorers, to support the young explorers and innovators of tomorrow.

Did you know, 60% of young people in the UK say they feel very worried or extremely worried about climate change? And 74% of children spend less time outside than prisoner. But, what if the key to helping young people grow into confident changemakers, is inside the classroom? And what if you can help make that happen?

And what if it was fun? And turned into a ‘choose-your-own adventure’ that could be incorporated into almost any class?

Conservation Without Borders has over 800 hours of incredible footage and real-life stories, collected from a series of conservation expeditions. From meeting people all over the UK, we uncovered stories of people stepping up, innovative ideas, and above all, hope.

Now, we’re turning those stories into something even more powerful. A free, choose-your-own-adventure platform for schools, called Finding Your Wings.

Teachers will be able to click on a map of the UK, pick a place, and unlock a short film and creative activity that fits right into the curriculum - whether it’s English, Geography, Science, or Economics.

Each video asks an intriguing question. Each provides an online learning experience using spectacular videos. Each one inspires critical thinking and problem-solving. Giving students the tools to understand how they can make a difference and potential career choices for the future.

And here’s why it matters…

Children who regularly connect with nature feel happier, calmer, and more confident.
Yet despite this, and the growing urgency of our environmental crisis, 70% of UK teachers say they don’t receive adequate training to teach students about biodiversity loss and climate change. At the same time, sustainability is one of the fastest-growing job sectors, with green roles expected to increase by 68%. But school leavers are entering the workforce without the essential skills they need to thrive in this new economy.

Finding Your Wings isn’t just an education tool. It’s a way to grow a generation of bold, curious, climate-literate leaders.

Free. Easy to use. Built with teachers and students in mind. Powered by real-world conservation and the belief that education can, and does make a difference. We will create a series of 5-minute videos on a specific topic for a specific age group target designed to connect children with the natural world, while empowering teachers to create powerful workshops.

We know it works. A report on nature-based learning programmes in schools shows  that after just 12 weeks, 84% of children feel more confident, 79% feel better about themselves, and 81% said they have stronger relationships with peers.

We have the stories.
Now, we need you.

Help us bring Finding Your Wings to every school in the UK and help every child rediscover their connection to nature and their unique skills to make a difference. Not just for this generation, but for the ones to come.
