We are a small team of volunteers who run an independent food bank in Coalville, Leicestershire. We open every Saturday from 11am to 12.30pm. We do not ask for referrals and help anyone in need of food which is currently around 100 people each week, including many families and young children. There are lots of reasons why people use the food bank, the most common being low income, single parents or health issues. Some may only use us for a couple of weeks and others need our help on an ongoing basis. Unfortunately we're getting busier so need funding in order to continue providing food for those in need.
