I am donating a £100 pound of my own money to feed the staff dealing with the Covid-19 patients over at Bedford hospital can you contribute?

 New stretch target

With the extra money i will either do another delivery to the hospital staff or if it gets bigger i will hand this over to the coordinator at Bedford hospital

My name is Mia and I am a Support Officer for individuals with complex needs, based in Bedford. I love working in healthcare as it gives me the opportunity to make a difference to someone's life.

My Gran died on the 15/04/20 of COVID19 and my sister is an intensive care nurse in Whips Cross Hospital on a COVID19 Ward. I may not be in the NHS so am not facing the hardship as bad as the heroes of our nation #doctors/nurses/hospital support staff,  but I am still a key worker so i still understand the fear and anxiety this virus is causing.

I am doing a independent donation so unfortunately it will not be a significant amount of money, but I was thinking about ordering pizzas to Bedford Hospital so that the staff could have a quick warm meal to eat, or potentially I could do a food shop so that staff who are pressed for time and haven’t had time to do any shopping can pick up a few items from the donation that I will make. If we do the food shop I will be buying tinned goods such as (tomatoes, beans, kidney beans, rice, pasta, pasta sauces) so that it has a longer preservation life and not forgetting some boxes of chocolate, I mean who doesn't love chocolate!

I will not make any money from this crowdfunding but with the support and encouragement of family and friends, I'd like to do something in the way of a very small thanks to the fantastic staff at Bedford Hospital who are all unsung heroes. Either way I will be able to make a difference to a member of the NHS family and hopefully make a positive impact on their day.

I do have some close links to homeless Shelters/Charities that potentially i could get food donations from, as well as from friends who are active on social media and are eager to spread the word and help.

No donation is too small and I will also be posting photos about the work that I will do as well as receipts of items that are purchased so that followers can see how the project went.

I have been in touch with the Co-ordinator of the Bedford Hospital Charity who is aware that i am organising a donation and have their full support which is fantastic!
