Community Clay Club is an exciting clay project focused on supporting health and well-being to vulnerable, isolated and rural people within South Shropshire.

We want to use this funding to support our Community Clay Club project in South Shropshire by creating pop up Clay Clubs in rural isolated community spaces. The aim of the project is to provide a safe space for people to meet, to have fun, to make new friends and to play with clay! It will support mental health, bring isolated rural communities together, tackle loneliness and impart new skills in a creative and supportive environment.

Community Clay Club has been running for six months but we are now looking for extra funding to keep this amazing project going.

It was inspired by our clay project created during lockdown in response to Covid-19 to support vulnerable and shielding people across Shropshire. We delivered clay kits to isolated peoples homes and supported these with online clay workshops.

We want to use this funding to continue to create Clay Clubs in rural spaces to support people that might not be able to afford or access clay workshops due to transportation, economic constraints or poor mental health.

We want to tackle social isolation and the impacts of rural poverty by providing opportunities for local people to meet and develop new skills and strengthen our rural communities.

We would love it if you could support us with this amazing creative project, directly helping and serving our local community.
