Aim: To raise public awareness by pursuing a human rights claim against the EAT, and set up a fund from the claim proceeds to help other victims.

Hi, my name is Samuel Utere and I am currently trying to raise around £40,000 to pursue a human rights claim against the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT)).

I am offering 40% of the compensation proceeds, to be distributed on a per share basis, for £100 per share of your contribution.

In addition, unspent funds will be distributed to participants, after the conclusion of this claim.

This matter relates to an employment tribunal claim which has become a human rights issue.

The issue is about several violations by the EAT, such as withholding evidence.

The EAT's actions included holding a hearing and passing a judgement in my absence, whereas my absence from the hearing was caused by the EAT's failings. Although it had been agreed about a year ago before the hearing that a remote hearing would be taking place owing to my financial circumstance, the EAT sent an email on the day of the hearing, that I have to be present in person.

The EAT's actions culminated in deciding to withdraw from resolving issues, by declining to communicate any further with my lawyer, Neil at Black Letter Law https://blackletterlaw.uk/, who was providing legal services on a Damages Based Agreement, (No-Win-No-Fee).

However, owing to costs and the loss resulting from the EAT's actions, my lawyer cannot afford to start the human rights claim on a No-Win-No-Fee basis. Some of the work Neil has done, include representing me on several occasions at the Employment Tribunal, the Employment Appeal Tribunal and preparing several case bundles and paper work.

The result is that I have to engage in a new agreement in order to pursue a human rights claim.

The £40 000 is to be used for anticipated future legal costs, including £10 000 which is the court fees for claims worth more than £200 000.

I cannot afford the fees, since I have been doing supply teaching since 2021 when this case started. Moreover, It has been a horrendously challenging time, commencing this case at the same time when I had my twin daughters, lost my father and grand mother, to the worst enemy - death.

Unspent funds will be distributed to participants, after the conclusion of this claim.
