At Evolve Youth Academy CIC, we ensure that neurodivergent individuals have equal opportunities to express themselves and improve their well-being by participating in positive activities and well-being sessions. We are launching this campaign to provide students from Treetops SEND School with free access to our state-of-the-art gym and recording studios. This initiative aims to create a safe and supportive space for these young people to thrive through physical activity or creative musical expression.
Our Mission:
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where neurodivergent people feel understood and empowered. Our gym is designed to accommodate their specific needs, including options for a quieter, overstimulation-free workout experience. Our studios offer hands-on opportunities to explore music production, instrument learning, and even vocal recording in a supportive, sensory-friendly setting. This project is about giving neurodivergent students access to resources that understand and respect their unique experiences.
The Challenges:
The cost of living crisis has made it difficult for families to access specialized services like gyms or music lessons that cater to neurodivergent individuals. Many students may feel out of place in traditional gyms or music classes. We want to remove these barriers by offering a space where they feel safe and supported and by making these opportunities accessible for Treetops SEND students.
Why Kickstarter?
We are turning to Kickstarter to raise funds to offer these students free gym and studio sessions. This support will help us cover costs for equipment, specialized staff training, and facility maintenance so that we can continue providing these essential services for free.
Our Facilities:
- The Gym: Young person friendly space with a 10-foot boxing ring, cardio machines, free weights, and more. The gym offers flexibility—students can exercise independently or join structured sessions such as self-defence classes, MMA, boxing, HIIT, and more.
- The Studios: A fully equipped music production space with three studios, instruments like guitars, drums, pianos, and a vocal booth. Students can learn to play an instrument, produce music, or record their tracks with the help of our dedicated team of sound engineers and instructors.
The Impact:
By supporting this campaign, you will help us offer:
- Free Gym Sessions: A place where students can exercise in a comfortable, overstimulation-free environment.
- Free Music Lessons and Studio Time: Opportunities for neurodivergent youth to explore music, learn an instrument, or create songs in a safe and welcoming space.
This project is not just about fitness or music but about building confidence, improving mental well-being, and providing life-changing opportunities.
We also want to provide greater opportunity to an ex-Treetops pupil who is now an excellent audio engineer, allowing him to earn money working with students from the school. We also have a Muay Thai-trained personal trainer who will provide young people with the opportunity to take part in training sessions in a private environment.
Stretch Goals:
If we surpass our funding goal, we plan to expand these services to other SEND schools in the area, ensuring more young people have access to safe, supportive fitness and creative spaces.
