This is a short film project as part of our final piece at university called 'Every Wednesday'. We aim to raise funds so that we are able to accommodate, feed and pay our actors, whilst also using the best locations and sets we can. We are excited to make our best production yet, with help from real industry professionals and a dedicated graduation team working hard to make a film worthy for a cinema screen. The film has been written and will be produced, filmed and edited by the same main group of people to maintain our dedication and passion towards this project and the story behind it.
If you would like to see any of our previous work or some pre-production snippets of this production, do not hesitate to ask and we would be happy to share.
We understand that not everybody is able to donate although, we hope you can share and support the crowd-fund so that this reaches as many people as possible. Any donations are a huge help and the entire team are extremely grateful for the support.
Through extensive research into the main topics of the film during pre-production the Director (Molly Salkeld) and Producer (Paige Lee) have teamed up to write the screenplay in order to validate the different perspectives that are spoken about and shown. The film offers a dual perspective between a male and female in a new relationship. The first part of the film follows our first protagonist (Noah) and his eagerness to show Lucy (another protagonist) around the new city she has just moved to. From Noah's perspective he is excited to begin this journey and the film feels very romantical and almost like a rom-com. He begins to stalk her and finally spikes her at a bar to which she blacks out on her way to the bathroom. At this stage the film rewinds to the day they met, but now from Lucy's perspective and the way she recalls each encounter. It is revealed that Noah was pushy to begin with and her politeness between customer and server on the day they met evidently becomes her downfall towards the end of the film. The film ends with Noah taking Lucy (whilst unconscious) back to his house where nobody can find her at the end of the night.
What happens at Noah's house is undisclosed and left to the imagination of the viewer, but this storyline hopes to bring awareness to sexual assault, what consent really means and the safety of women on their own. We aim to break down the barriers of todays society that have normalised spiking and online stalking.
We are really excited to share the film with you all and hope it can potentially resonate in some ways with the correct demographic and audience, bringing more attention to the topics discussed.
