A patient educational platform dedicated to advocating for plant medicine as a viable treatment option and exploring a holistic approach!

by EthVida CIC in London, Greater London, United Kingdom

Hi everyone and welcome to EthVida!

I am both a patient and healthcare professionals, who co-founded EthVida, a patient educational platform for people who are looking to gain more of an understanding on various health and social care related issues, such as advocacy for plant based medicines, racial equity in health and social care, & women's health. We also offer educational materials to aid people in making positive changes for their health and wellbeing, regardless of where they are in their health journeys.

I believe that everyone has the right to appropriate healthcare, and it is our responsibility as patients to ensure that we give ourselves a fighting chance to optimise on our health care goals. Everyone has different needs, however there are standard, yet very effective, measures & coping mechanisms you can put into place, to improve on and/or sustain your health & wellbeing. People with chronic illnesses, should be mindful that there is a ceiling to their recovery, and this education is about wellbeing overall and reaching as many milestones as you can, within the restraints of your health capacity.

I have put together various pieces of work that explore general topics such as mental health awareness, plant based medical products awareness and more specialised topics from experts in the field, such as women's health & substance misuse etc. I have also formulated some mapping exercises people can use, to aid in goal planning, to ideally try and achieve the best outcome they can for themselves.

I am also releasing a podcast series, that focus' on awareness for plant based medicines, in particular CBMPs. The podcast is designed to both educate members of the public and existing patients, and to also showcase industry insights, adding depth to the general publics knowledge base around plant based medicines.

In terms of projects moving forward, I wish to get involved in more awareness campaigns and work with various charities to create a pathway for recreational users, who self medicate, to get support. I want to also partner with ethnic minority and women's charity, to start bridging the gap between disadvantaged communities and substance misuse.

Please note - that this is an educational and sign-posting platform.
