This festive season, support Eliot Smith Dance to kickstart 2025: A Year of Ambitious Dance Projects
In 2025, Eliot Smith Dance (ESD) will celebrate its fourteenth year of inspiring contemporary dance experiences. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne and led by founder and creative director Eliot Smith, ESD is ready to embark on its most ambitious and diverse projects yet.

Throughout December 2024, we aim to raise £2,025 to help kickstart 2025 with an exciting range of initiatives celebrating this milestone. These include:
• A regional North East tour of PITMAN, a contemporary dance work inspired by the Ashington Group (Pitmen Painters) paintings.
• The third edition of ESD Presents, a biannual dance event showcasing distinguished global dance artists.
• The re-staging of ‘Coalfield to Landscape’ performed in Denmark.
• A series of dance workshops in the North East for children, young people, and adults, providing access to ESD’s award-winning wellness programs.
• The creation and a revival of a new contemporary dance work by Eliot Smith.
• Support for operational costs to ensure the continued success of the company amidst rising financial pressures.
