Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon

Aim: Raising funds to support 'The Sam Polledri Foundation' to help them bring in a mobile heart scanning unit to the local area.
Why I'm do
ing this:
Sam tragically passed away of a cardiac arrest in February 2022, aged only 24.
Sam absolutely loved life. He was kind, loving, strong, always singing/dancing and so much more. He deserved to experience years and years of more life, to achieve all he had planned to do. He was a great partner to my daughter, who treated her with an enormous amount of love and respect. Sam will eternally be missed by so many.
What will the Triathlon entail:
In honour and memory of Sam in June 2023 I will be heading to San Francisco to take part in the famous Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in which will consist of a 1.5-mile strong current swim in icy cold, shark infested water from Alcatraz Island to the shores of the St. Francis Yacht Club, a gruelling 18-mile bike ride, and a demanding 8-mile run through the trails of the Golden Gate Recreational Area.
Where will your donations go:
All money raised will be donated to ' The Sam Polledri Foundation’ An organisation that aims to help in prevention by funding a mobile heart scanning unit to come into Bristol to scan our local community.
We will ensure you live on through saving other people's lives in your name.
