Help us to create a fully accessible guinea pig village for therapeutic interactions with people in need.

On the 9th October 2022 we'd raised £2,089 with 62 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We will use the extra funds to make the space even bigger and even better. This extra money will help us to purchase long lasting and suitable seating as well as to fence and secure the area. The extra funds will also enable us to buy turf and landscaping to make it extra inviting and accessible for both the humans and the guinea pigs.
Thank you to Erin and her mum Helen for sharing their story to support this project. Thanks also to Erin’s Grandad - we are forever grateful.
“Whether you believe it’s chance or fate, sometimes just the right people and animals come into you life at just the right time.
My daughter Erin has hugely complex, life limiting health conditions, affecting her heart, liver, kidneys, spleen and her blood, she is classified as end stage kidney failure and due to her severe heart condition she is not a candidate for the dialysis and transplant that would prolong her life. So time is what we have and time is what we must fill with huge amounts joy and love, whilst supporting Erin’s psychological and emotional wellbeing.
During late spring, a special day at a beach hut resulted in Erin meeting a very lovely Guinea pig called Cheese, who, since their meeting has become incredibly important to Erin.
During the summer we’ve had the chance to make weekly visits to see Cheese at the farm and it’s been full of laughter, cuddles and learning, and has been immensely therapeutic for Erin and for us as a family.
During our visits we’ve learnt of the plans for a Guinea pig village, that to our delight has been named “Erindale”. Erindale will be part of Erin’s legacy and throughout the incredible, ongoing work undertaken by the team at the care farm will provide more of the beautiful experiences that we as a family have enjoyed and immensely benefited from.”
Funds raised through this crowdfunder will help us to buy materials and install insulation and fencing to create Erindale.
