Aim: Any funds raised will be used directly to help our families and young people through our groups or with outings or at our Waterworks project
ERA is a group for additional support needs (ASN) families within East Renfrewshire.
ERA was founded by parents and carers who recognised a need for peer support for their young people. We have been in existence for 10 years.
Our aims are to support parents and families, set up social groups and events for ASN children and siblings and to widen appreciation of additional support needs within the local community.
We currently host clubs for families with children from birth right through primary school and a Teens and Young Adult club for Secondary school upwards. We support a weekly Bookbug session.
ERA Juniors runs on a Thursday evening and Teens, Young Adults and Guitar Club on a fortnightly Basis. Our Safe Zone Group runs fortnightly for neurodivergent members of the LGBTQ+ Community.
We have an outdoor space at Barrhead Waterworks where we show our Young people how to grow food crops and host outdoor groups and events.
