After the long road of qualifying to be a Psychotherapist specialising in trauma, I have set up an Equine Assisted Therapy business called EquiSolace. I am working to create a CIC Equine Assisted Services Centre, where all people can feel safe, receive support in community and access to psychotherapy. With the help of horses, individuals can have the opportunity to grow, learn and heal. With Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, yoga, meditation, sound healing, gardening, etc, the centre will be a quiet, yet thriving place for people to feel seen and heard in a trauma informed community.
Within my own business, I have a particular interest in clients who might have fallen through the gaps in the system, especially minority groups who desperately need assistance. I specialise in the treatment of psychological trauma disorders, such as Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD and CPTSD. This work is very rewarding and to also work alongside the horses as a team, provides an additional powerful and embodied experience for the clients, helping them to integrate the change processes into their daily lives. To find out more about my service and why horses are part of this treatment process, please visit my facebook page link below.

I am currently in the process of securing funding to assist those who cannot afford vital psychotherapy treatment, who unfortunately cannot be supported due to the mental health crisis in our NHS system. There is just not enough money, staff or resources to support all that are struggling. I have a solid private client base but due to being a new business, I am currently unable to create enough profit to cover some infrastructure needed to support more people at the centre.
The funding I am requesting is for two units. One summer shed unit type, to create a second client area within the site. This enables other facilitators to support more clients onsite. In addition, the second unit is for hay storage, which is currently being stored in various temporary places around the site. With the reduced time moving hay from areas of the site, more time can be spent providing support to the clients.
Any support on this project would be hugely appreciated. My aim is to make a difference in our communities, families and individual lives. Please support any amount if this is something of interest to you.
