Our fundraising efforts began in July with Energetic Edward Peake Week where we had Class Competitions and a Sports Day and Energetic Edward Peake Week 2.0 with the rescheduled annual Fun Run. (No fun would have been had if the run had been during the weather conditions we had on the original timetabled date!) We urged you to show our runners your support by donating on SchoolComms.
Some of our staff are not getting away lightly either and on Saturday 2 September will be venturing up Snowdon. Now, are they brave to be reaching the heady heights of 1,085m above sea level or brave to be relying on our dear old minibus to get them to the bottom of the mountain? That in itself deserves some recognition. Good luck everyone.
We now ask you, to show support for this staff quest by making a donation by using this platform and encouraging friends and family to do likewise and we greatly appreciate absolutely any amount you can offer.
You know it's not just a fundraising activity the team are going to Snowdon for. Got your attention have we? They are also going for research purposes because when Edward Peake Middle School morphs into its Secondary School version we get to offer the kids a chance to do their Duke of Edinburgh (DOE) Award. So, to (mis)quote Chief Brody "we're going to need a better bus". How many of you got that Jaws reference?
Don't forget to keep an eye on the EPMS social's for news of future fundraisers.
