We are raising awareness of the needs of the area and inviting people to partner with us in the mission. EPIC 192 was founded by Richard and Amba Keeble in June 2021 to raise awareness and support for the needs of local people living in the Highway 192 area of Central Florida, USA.
After visiting Kissimmee a few times over the years they have become more aware of the difficult situation affecting many families. Due to the high cost of living, many families can’t afford to rent their own home and end up all living together in a small motel room along Highway 192. These hidden families, who live just up the road from Walt Disney World, have lives very different from being in the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’.
We are working in partnership with EPIC Dad Community Interest Company (also founded by Rich and Amba) and Beyond Pregnancy Care Center (Kissimmee) to bring parenting, practical, and pastoral support to the 192 fathers and families.
We are working together to develop one-to-one mentoring for fathers and parenting courses to help support family life. Also, we are providing free resources to help families such as baby supplies. We are also reaching out to the community by providing Gospels, Bibles, and other Christian and family literature.
The Keeble family, with the support of their charity trustees, are planning to move out to Kissimmee in the near future to continue to develop the mission of EPIC 192 and reach the hidden families with God's love.
