EOTOUK is dedicated to addressing the pressing issues of gangs, crime, violence, and deprivation among young people, with a specific focus on the challenges faced by young people of the diaspora. Our goal is to create a network that actively serves our community by intervening proactively and creating spaces and experiences that teach young people about valuing thier life and thier future. Through holistic wellbeing practices we can reframe and reeducate young people about the importance of self worth, goal setting and path finding. The challenges our young people face today are multifaceted and deeply rooted in issues such as toxic culture, trauma, fear, criminalization, racism, classism, deprivation, and gentrification. Unfortunately, the spaces that should provide consistent support, such as youth work, education, and mental health services, are often underfunded and oversubscribed. This situation has led to a gap in services that is contributing to the crises we are witnessing in our communities.
Through our research and on the ground work with young people we have an in depth knowledge of the needs and wants of disaffected young people. This is why we want to create wellbeing spaces for the most at risk young people within and across our communities, these young people are the hardest to engage and connect with however we are able to and have been working with and listening to what young people need to flourish, be present and value their lives.
Your donations with enable EOTOUK to fund projects, events and wellbeing retreats that support the most disaffected young people in our communities. Our aim is to support young peoples path to emotional wellbeing, economic freedom and education and to create working class leaders for the next generation.
As a social enterprise we aim to be self sustaining but for this to be a reality we seek donations to boost our ability to provide the much needed services young people in our community need.
We are confident our mission will ameliorate many social ills communities across the UK face, this includes youth crime and violence, young people not in education or employment and young people facing poor mental health. We aim to empower young people and their families by giving them the tools to step into adulthood prepared and ready to create positive life paths for them and their peers.
