Providing children with access to education to keep them away from exploitative labor and break the cycle of poverty

Nisha and Sumbal are two bright and spirited sisters from a small village in Pakistan. Their father, Hameed, works tirelessly at a local brick kiln to support his family. Despite his hard work, the meager income from the kiln was barely enough to meet their basic needs. Although Nisha and Sumbal were not formally employed at the kiln, they spent their days helping their father mold and carry heavy bricks, dreaming of a life beyond the dusty, back-breaking labor.
Every morning, before the sun had fully risen, Nisha and Sumbal would accompany their father to the kiln. The air was thick with the smell of clay, and the heat from the furnace was relentless. The girls worked diligently, hoping that their efforts would ease their father's burden, but their dreams of going to school and getting an education seemed to fade with each passing day.
Everything changed when AWARD (the Association for Women's Awareness for Rural Development) visited their village. Award representatives were determined to tackle the issue of child labour and increase school enrollment. During their visit, they met Hameed and learned about Nisha and Sumbal's situation. The team spoke passionately about the importance of education and the long-term benefits it would bring to the girls and their family.
Inspired by AWARD's message, Hameed made a brave decision. With AWARD’s support, he enrolled Nisha and Sumbal in the local school. AWARD provided the necessary financial assistance, including school supplies, uniforms, and transportation, making it possible for the girls to attend school without adding financial strain on the family.
AWARD’s mission is not just about enrolling children in school; it’s about changing lives and building a brighter future for entire communities. With your support, we can make this dream a reality for 10,000 children like Nisha and Sumbal. Your donations will help provide the resources needed to ensure these children stay in school and succeed.
Join us in this noble cause. Together, we can turn the tide and ensure that every child has the chance to learn, grow, and thrive. Nisha and Sumbal's story is just the beginning. Let's create many more success stories and build a better future for all.
