I am running the Manchester Marathon on the 10th October 2021, for Endometriosis UK.
1 in 10 women suffer with Endometriosis in the UK meaning it is highly likely someone you know suffers with it, the average diagnosis takes up to 8 years and it is one of the top 20 most painful illness', voted by the NHS.
The illness has side effects such as pelvic pain, and infertility, which no woman should ever have to go through.
I wasn't aware it even existed until I saw the suffering of someone close to me with Endometriosis and my aim is to give back to Endometriosis UK, who aim to help those with the illness take back control of their lives, I also want to gain some awareness for this illness and great charity.
Endometriosis UK receive minimal funding for what they do and mainly operate through donations as well as annual subscriptions.
I've broken my ankles on 5 occasions and torn my ACL, so this challenge will definitely be testing for me and support is more than welcome.
Any donation, will be really appreciated and hopefully this encourages you to find out more about Endometriosis, thanks!
