In Bexley, a powerful vision is coming to life, Sirens & Sparkles First Aid CIC. This is not just a first aid program; it’s a safe, welcoming space where individuals with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can learn life-saving skills with confidence.
Founded by someone who has experience in the SEND community, this initiative was created to break down the barriers that often prevent people with SEND from accessing essential training. Many traditional first aid programs aren't equipped to meet their unique needs but Sirens & Sparkles is different. Here, it’s not only about CPR and bandages. It’s about empowerment, inclusion, and independence. The sessions are designed with sensory-friendly materials, adaptable learning styles, and a pace that respects every individual.
Imagine a child with autism, once too anxious to join group activities, now confidently practicing the recovery position. Or a young person with sensory challenges learning to apply a cold compress while being guided and instructed by a team member. These moments build more than skills, they build self-esteem.
Our instructors have deep connections to the SEND community and teach with patience, empathy, and clarity. Every lesson is a step toward building trust, confidence, and real-world readiness.
