My name is Rayy Babalola, and I am a dyslexic, Black entrepreneur and founder of The Agile Squad, a one-woman organisation dedicated to providing affordable training and coaching services. The Agile Squad was born from my own struggles to afford upskilling in my career, and now I’m reaching out for support to continue this important work.
At The Agile Squad, my mission is to make professional development accessible to everyone. I’ve also been offering free project management workshops to students at my former secondary school and college. My goal is to expand these workshops to inspire more young people to reach their full potential.
However, the market for my services has shifted, and the courses I offer have been updated with new material. As a dyslexic individual, I face unique challenges in finding the time and resources needed to study and master these new materials. To keep my business relevant and maintain the quality of my services, I need to update my qualifications and gain new certifications.
Here's how the funds will be used:
- Agile PM, Scrum, Lean & BSC Exams Resits: £2,690
- Prince2 Certification Course + Trainer Development: £4,000
- Risk Management Course + Trainer Development: £3,500
When I previously pursued professional qualifications, I had the support of my employer, which included dedicated study time. Now, as a self-employed entrepreneur, I don’t have that luxury, making your support even more crucial.
