We're still collecting donations

On the 17th March 2023 we'd raised £730 with 7 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Who are we?

We are Elton Community Centre and we are run mostly by volunteers. We offer local support for all members of our community. Services we have developed at this difficult time are; Food Bank, Food Grocery, Community Cafe, Warm room, Counselling services and Citizens Advice appointments. We also have lots of activities for mental and social wellbeing for toddlers to OAPs.

The Community Centre is working towards becoming self-sufficient in order to ensure it exists into the long term future for the community, but is concerned about meeting bill payments in the short -term and to keep ahead of cost of living crises so that these wonderful services are there when people need them most.

In the future we also aim to improve and develop the Centre to help to reduce and risk to the longevity of the building and the services it provides.

Community impact

Our Community Centre is central to support services in the village that provide basic help to any worried or struggling member of the community. It also aims to encourage connectivity and improve the wellbeing of residents with opportunities for social interactions for all ages.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We need to raise money to ensure that the Community Centre's support services are available during the most difficult times, by supporting the Centre's funds and ability to keep up with their own bills during the cost of living crisis.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The extra funds will help the Community Centre pay essential bills and if there is sufficient it will then help support some of the essential services.

Should there be any remaining funds, which would be wonderful, they would be awarded to the fundraising for the improvement and development of the building to make the space more energy efficient in the future and improve longevity.
