For over 200 years Elmdon Church has been within what is called the “evangelical tradition” of the Church of England, and this remains our position today.
There has been a church building on the site in Elmdon Park since at least 1297AD, but probably for much longer. The current building was opened in 1780 and extended in the 1970s. It has since been extensively modernised to provide a space which combines the best of the old and the best of the new.
As well as our regular church services we hold many other regular events there, such as our (currently suspended – sorry) weekly Acorns group for toddlers and pre-schooler's and our Tuesday service. We are also delighted to host a range of Christian and other organisations and groups for their activities.
Elmdon PCC is the working name for the charity run by our Church
Our Church/Charity seeks to help children/young people, other charities or voluntary bodies and the general public/mankind. To do this we raise funds, make grants to organisations, provide buildings/facilities/open space and provide Services. We operate in Birmingham City and Solihull.
Through our fundraising activities and donations, we are able to make regular grants to overseas mission organisations (Crosslinks and Wycliffe Bible Translators) and support various local special causes.
Special Cause Fund Raisers -
Situations arise where our parishioners see there is a need to try and help a local project or charity. As a registered charity and through our profile here on Crowdfunder we are able to help them create fund-raising projects and distribute the funds donated to the respective project or charity.
