Help Elinor Achieve Her Dream of Becoming an Equine Physiotherapist
Elinor's journey with horses began at the tender age of seven when she met Rocky, a gentle pony who sparked a lifelong passion. Over the past nine years, Elinor has evolved into a quietly confident rider. She has lovingly loaned and cared for several ponies and horses, dedicating countless hours to lessons and improving her skills. Her dedication extends beyond riding; Elinor has always dreamed of helping horses live their best lives through care and rehabilitation.
While many young equestrians aspire to become Olympian show jumpers or dressage riders, Elinor's aspirations have always been more altruistic. She wants to be an equine physiotherapist, a role that allows her to directly impact the well-being of horses. Her commitment is evident in the time she spends assisting retired and injured horses, pouring her heart and soul into their care.
Elinor's dedication and hard work paid off when she successfully applied to Hadlow College, where she was offered a place based on her performance during the assessment day. This opportunity is a crucial step towards her dream career. However, the logistical challenge of commuting to Hadlow, which is 45 miles from her home, makes daily travel impractical. The journey would take over an hour by car or more than two hours by public transport each way, significantly impacting her ability to focus on her studies and practical training.
To overcome this hurdle, Elinor would love to join Hadlow College as a residential student. Unfortunately, the residential fees amount to £11,000, a significant financial investment.
Despite her best efforts, Elinor was unsuccessful in securing financial support from the college, not due to lack of eligibility or need, but simply because the funds had already been allocated.
College starts in September and she was notified of the funding decision last week giving her just 6 weeks to find the funds.
This is where she needs your help. By contributing to this crowdfunding campaign, you can help Elinor raise £5,500, half of the total fees, ensuring she can secure her place at Hadlow College. Your support will not only enable Elinor to continue her education but also bring her one step closer to her goal of becoming an equine physiotherapist. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Elinor's journey to help horses live healthier, happier lives.
Thank you for taking the time to read Elinor's story and for considering a contribution. Your generosity will directly impact a young woman's future and the well-being of countless horses she will help throughout her career.
